Over 50 and still not finished
My friends and clients have been frustrated about their would-be retirement years. They are In a hurry to secure a life they were promised when they were younger. There’s a simmering aggravation because they don’t have that ‘settled down’ feeling they’ve worked so hard for over the years. In fact, they feel in many ways that things are ramping up.
If you feel like your life is starting over, it probably is. That’s okay. It is not about the economy or social security or any of that (though it’s certainly not helping.) And there isn’t a single decision you made in your younger years that would have prevented you from being called in this divine way. Source is simply calling you to lead again.

Ya’ll look good for a reason. Your youth, beauty, and vitality are gifts that will power your role in our global society over the next 20-30 years.
Your first task will be to redo what you did before…but better. If you had certain ventures or dreams that failed in previous chapters of your life, you’ll be called to build anew using the wisdom you earned from earlier mistakes. Then share the harvest of that wisdom with the rest of us.
Second, you are being called to re-parent the planet. You’ll be asked to re-parent your own children or help someone else parent theirs. I can hear the groaning now. Before you start rebuking me as the devil, there are all kinds of interesting and even amusing ways this can show up.

Guiding The Evolution
You can teach what you’ve learned about love and courage. You can act as corporate warriors on behalf of your communities. Show up as guides in your places of work or worship. Become King- and Queenmakers in business and political matters. Whether you call yourself a Gen X’er or an Xinneal or a boomer, know that you are still here, sexy and progressive because we need you.
This sounds like it’s been done before. It hasn’t. This is not a few souls willing to pitch in. This is a groundswell movement already in motion.
We millennials can’t do it, ’cause we’re on clean-up. Always have been. We’ve got national, international, and individual debts to worry about, climate change to maneuver, and cities to re-plan. Our job is to get the machines of commerce and community back to some level of sanity.
Point is, saving ourselves from the tyranny of a world that runs on greed and illusions will be a transgenerational team effort. I know you’ve been through hell and back. You’d rather find a place to start practicing the zen art of not giving a f**ck. But you can’t. You’re being called.
You can still do what you had planned. Nobody’s saying you’ve gotta give up hobbies and your freedom. Continue to enjoy your girl cruises and your Zaddy trips. Go ‘on ‘head and finish sipping on them Mai Tai’s or whatever. Rest your bodies and souls when you need to. You just can’t stay there. We got thangs to do
